Since 1977, Bishop John C. Parks has been a dedicated pastor, accumulating over 47 years of pastoral experience. He is the esteemed pastor of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, NC, a progressive church housed in a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 16,000 square feet in East Winston-Salem, NC. His pastoral journey has also seen him lead the Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Covington, TN, the Cedar Grove Baptist Church of Mason, TN, and the Pilgrim Rock Baptist Church of Chattanooga, TN.

After 26 years of pastoring, He was consecrated to the office of Bishop in 2003.  He became the first Baptist Pastor in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to receive this distinction.  He is a trailblazer in many areas of ministry.

He graduated from the Tennessee State University of Nashville, Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Business Degree from Wake Forest University of Winston Salem, NC, and an Executive MBA Program in Strategy and Organization from Stanford University.

He has spent over 38 years developing business strategy and organizational transformation. During his career, he has managed over 3,000 employees, operating budgets totaling over 500 million dollars annually, and assets totaling over 1.5 billion annually.  He is an international preacher, teacher, and lecturer. He is the author of five books and publisher of a national magazine, Hope Today. He also has three patents pending. He has 2 daughters and five grandchildren.
